Laser tattoo removal on hand and finger tattoos with cooling at Chrysalis Project

Lots of workplaces are fine with tattoos now. Still, maybe you're starting a new career, wearing a uniform, or just tired of long sleeves and bandages every shift. If a visible tattoo is on your mind, here's how to think it through.

First, check what's actually required

Some jobs have clear rules about visible tattoos, and some only care about certain placements, like hands, neck or face. Find out what your workplace actually expects before you decide. It may change whether you need full removal or just a fade.

Fading: less noticeable, faster

If you mostly want a tattoo to be less noticeable, fading can get you there. A lighter tattoo is easier to cover with makeup or a light sleeve, and much less likely to be the first thing someone sees.

Full removal: back to clear skin

If the rule is "no visible tattoos," or you simply want it gone for good, full removal is the goal. We keep going session by session as long as the ink keeps lifting.

Plan around your timeline

Laser removal takes several sessions with healing in between, so start as soon as you can. Tell us about any start date or deadline at your free consult and we'll give you an honest plan. Pigment, depth, age, placement, your goal and how your body heals all play a part. At your free consult we'll look at it together and give you an honest estimate.

Hands, fingers and necks

These are the most common "work" tattoos we see. They're also spots you use and show every day, so we'll walk you through what healing looks like before you start.

Cost

Regular tattoo removal is priced per session by size, from $129, with 0% in-house financing available. See how our pricing works.
