Congratulations! Whether it's a tattoo that will peek out of an open-back dress, a name that no longer belongs, or a piece you'd just rather not see in your photos, a lot of people think about tattoo removal once the date is set. Here's how to plan it.
Start as early as you can
Laser removal works over several sessions, and your skin needs to heal between each one. That means it's not something to leave to the last month. The best time to come in is as soon as you know you want it gone, so there's room in your timeline.
Bring your date to your free consult
Tell us your wedding date when you book. We'll look at your tattoo, talk through what's realistic before the big day, and give you an honest plan. Pigment, depth, age, placement, your goal and how your body heals all play a part. At your free consult we'll look at it together and give you an honest estimate.
Fading can be enough
If time is short, fading is a great option. A lighter tattoo is much easier to cover with makeup, and much less noticeable in photos. You can keep going with full removal after the wedding if you'd like.
Leave a buffer before the day
Plan your last session before the wedding with enough time for your skin to fully heal, so nothing is pink or tender on the day. We'll help you pick the right date for it.
What about cosmetic tattoos?
Brows, lip blush and eyeliner show up in every close-up photo. If you'd like to change yours before the wedding, start even earlier, because we always begin cosmetic pigments with a test spot. See our cosmetic tattoo removal page.
Cost
Regular tattoo removal is priced per session by size, from $129, with 0% in-house financing available. See how our pricing works. If you'd like to know your total cost up front, ask us about unlimited packages.
